October 28 in South Korea was the World Cup triathlon at the sprint. For many participants, this was the last race of the season. Others will continue the performance in Miyazaki.
The men gathered a group of leaders led by the Frenchman Orelen Raphael. Leaders caught up with the pursuers and restarted the race on the running segment, which was not a simple relief. Applicants for high places had to overcome the relief of the distance and give the final acceleration. After the first kilometers in the leaders left eight participants, but after the attack the Frenchman collapsed. Only Rostislav Pevtsov, Belgian Martin Van Riel and young Sem Ward managed to keep the pace of the leader. The victory is predicted for the Frenchman. Rostislav successfully defends the second position and finishes second. Another sharp finisher, Martin Van Riel, climbed to the podium of the race. Sam Vord continues to progress and there is stability in the World Cup. Aurelien and Rostislav began to run not from the first positions and had to finish them. At the same time Pevtsov pursued Orelen on a bicycle race and dugagyal on the run. The Frenchman retained more strength for the finish piece, despite the fact that the Azerbaijani showed the fastest time on the run. Marten was next to the prize-winning places at the World Cup, but did not have enough strength for a breakthrough in the finish line. Now he confidently ran to the podium, leaving behind the strong participants. Sam Ward shows youthful abruptness at the finish and hope that he will not lose this ability in further career growth. Australian Brendon Copeland, Italian Massimo De Ponti and Spaniard Roberto Sanchez Mantecchon held one of the best races in his career. And only for gimi finished Daniel Hoi from New Zealand, Dane Andreas Schilling, Frenchman Simon Vine and Mexican Rodrigo Gonzalez, who could not give out a quick finish piece. The race between the Hungarian Gabor Faldum and the Italian Alessandro Fabian did not go.
In women, the main battle took place between the Japanese Ai Ueda and Summer Cook from the US, who repeatedly led a duel for winning the world races. This time the American bypasses the Japanese at the finish line and wins the race. Ai Ueda finishes the second. And the third place is won by the young Belgian Claira Michel. In the top 10, Rebecca Spence from New Zealand, Italian Verena Steinhauser finished. They were followed by potential contenders for the prize-winning places Nicole Van Der Kaai from New Zealand, Japanese Yuko Takahashi, Taylor Spivey from the United States, Emma Jackson from Australia, who had already passed the peak form this season, Japanese Juri Idea, Italian Angelica Olmo and Japanese Yuka Sato.
