This weekend in the United States was the World Cup triathlon, after which the world's next start in the calendar this season. The weather made adjustments to the race and instead of swimming the participants reached the duathlon distance, where the masters showed to Jorik Van Egdom and Marten Van Riel. And the women could not finish the race, almost half of the participants, among whom were favorites of the competition Katie Zaferes and Dominika Jamnicky.
In men, the initiative on the run was intercepted by the Mexican Edson Gomez Ruiz, who was caught by the pursuers in the bike race. A large group of leaders and the winner was determined by the fastest run. The final run was led by the Mexican Rodrigo Gonzalez, who resisted and won the race. Excellent Belgian Marten Van Riel, who played the finish with Kevin McDowell from the United States, felt great. Frenchman Aurelien Raphael in fourth place, and Mexican Diogo Sclebin fifth. In op-10, Dutchman Jorik Van Egdom, Ran Sagiv from Israel, Mexican Crisanto Grajales, Matthew Wright from Barbados and Tony Smoragiewicz from the United States finished. Russian Dmitry Polyanskiy in 11th place.
In women, the race was led by Chelsea Sodaro, who was caught up on the bicycle stage. Women stretched out on the bike race and formed separate groups. A small group of leaders came to the final stage, into the transit zone, from which they won the victory. In the absence of Katie’s Zaferes and Dominika’s Jamnickyat the distance, the main favorite of the race was Japanese Juri Ide. Which won the race in the solo victory. Chelsea Sodaro at the first stage showed a desire to climb the podium and demonstrated a quick run at the finish. For the third place there was a struggle between Julia Hauser from Austria and the Dutch Maaike Caelers. The latter lost to the Austrian podium. The following places were taken by Taylor Spivey and Chelsea Burns from the USA. In the top 10, Adriana Barraza and Vanessa De La Torre from Mexico finished. Slovak Romana Gajdosova and Mexican Cecilia Perez.
